After decades of international experience in the hotel industry across sales, marketing, and distribution, Carina Stegmayer and Markus Mueller founded GauVendi in 2020. Duy Nguyen joined as CTO. He had previously worked with Markus Mueller to successfully execute a global brand transformation in Asia. Under the name GauVendi (derived from the Latin Gaudium Venditio – “The Joy of Selling”), the three founders combine their expertise in sales, branding, and technology to empower accommodation providers to move beyond selling their products in simplified categories. Instead, they enable them to offer the full value of each unit as a differentiated and personalized guest experience—maximizing profitability.

As frequent and business travelers, we know that “simple and fast” often isn't enough—especially when booking for a family of six. The ability to personalize the booking process and fulfill special requests still lags far behind other industries in the hotel sector. GauVendi bridges this gap with its AI-powered booking engine and automation solutions. These enable an experience-driven booking journey, supported by automated processes, allowing every stay, from reservation to check-out, to be individually tailored.
